Campus Crime Report

Dozens of police reports were recorded by CSUSM’s University Police Department between Monday, Sept. 12 and Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Three incidents of petty theft were reported, the items stolen being a bicycle (taken from a bike rack), a pair of sandals (stolen in Kellogg Library) and a microphone (stolen from a classroom in Markstein Hall).

Another trend within the reports is the presence of  several suspicious persons and/or vehicles at the residence halls. Most reports were recorded during late-night and early-morning hours, ranging from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Two students came into contact with the recently-placed skateboard and bicycle ban on campus during this time period. This number is down from the four reports of this refraction during the time period of Aug. 31 to Sept. 6.
