Campus Rec presents students with outdoor adventures

In need of a fun getaway for the day? Still trying to maintain healthy and active lifestyle 2018 resolutions? Then check out some of the outdoor adventures that Campus Recreations are offering!

Calling all snow bunnies! Take a look at the Big Bear Slopes Day on Saturday, Feb. 24!  This day trip includes transportation, rentals and dinner. Whether you are a pro and ready to show off your skills with your own equipment or are a beginner in need of lessons, this day trip is a perfect match! The cost of the trip varies for students who would like rentals and a lesson is $110.

If you have your own equipment and would like the transportation and lift ticket, the cost is $80. A bus will be taken from the Clark Field House to the mountain. Sign ups are online at  https://www.csusm.edu/rec/outdoor_adventures/bigbear.html.    

The Elfin Forest Hike is an awesome way to spend the day exercising and getting a chance to reward yourself with Instagram worthy views!

This hike takes place Saturday, Mar. 10, departing from Clarke Field House by 8 a.m. and returning by 12 p.m. This is a free trip, so take advantage of this nature filled opportunity to trek this local favorite! You are responsible for your own transportation. This getaway includes a guided hike, environmental education and snacks. This hike is roughly six miles and is considered a moderately difficult hike.
