basketball game recap 2/24/18 Cougars win final game of the 2017-2018 season

CSUSM Cougars end their season on a high note beating CSU Dominguez Hills Toros on Saturday, February 24 game 93 to 78 at the CSUSM’s Sport Center Arena.

Men’s Basketball end their season 20 wins – 8 losses as CSU Dominguez Hills have 13 wins and 15 losses.

 

This is the last basketball game of the season as Cougars take on Dominguez Hills as the Cougars are set to compete at the California Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament.  

 

Tonight is Senior Night for the Cougars and tonight “prior to tip-off seven Cougars: Brian Wright, Josh Spiers, Tanner Waldrip, Collin Host, Joe Boyd, Ethan Alvano and Chris Porter are to receive a special senior presentation” said the CSUSM Athletics website.

 

CSUSM Men’s Basketball Team top scorers of the night are Dalton Soffer with 22 points following Joe Boyd with 18 points. As for assists as a team, Cougars have 25 assists as Toros have 16.

 

According to the CSUSM Athletics News page Cougars “are currently tied with crosstown rival, UCSD for third place in the CCAA (California Collegiate Athletic Association) standings.”

 

The beginning of the CCAA tournament begins February 27 in the Sports Center at 7 p.m. Prices are on sale are $4 for students (which normally it is free) and $8 for both Staff/Faculty and General Admission.
