Social Justice Centers

Here at Cal State San Marcos, there are three social justice centers that are open to all students. These centers are places on campus where students can come together, hangout, do homework, and meet new people. They are the Cross Cultural Center, the Women's Center, and the LGBTQ Pride Center.

WOW! It’s Been 20 Years!

If you haven’t heard, CSUSM is celebrating its 20-year anniversary this school year! Current students are part of California history and have the opportunity to help shape the campus dynamics and student life while the university heads into its third decade of growth. One way to get involved is by attending Weeks of Welcome events, which began August 30 and will continue through September 10.

Men’s Soccer Falls 2-1 to Mid-American Nazarene

Cougar men’s soccer did everything but win the game Saturday night in Arizona, controlling play but losing focus late in the game to fall 2-1 to Mid-American Nazarene University. For Head Coach Ron Pulvers’ super young squad, it’s a tough result, but a positive learning experience.

Women’s Soccer Rolls to 3-1 Win over Judson

Cougar women’s soccer turned in its most dominating performance of the young season thus far, rolling to a 3-1 win over Judson University on the final day of the Embry-Riddle Invitational in Prescott. Outside of a blip in the 12th minute, CSUSM dominated the game from start to finish, out-shooting Judson 32-8 and holding a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.

Men’s Soccer Defeats Oklahoma Christian 2-1

Cougar men’s soccer recorded its second straight win on Friday, defeating Oklahoma Christian 2-1 on day one of two in Prescott, Arizona. ““The team continued to play with good spirit and fight,” commented Head Coach Ron Pulvers.

Women’s Soccer Wins Big on Day One in Prescott

#14-ranked CSU San Marcos women’s soccer carried the momentum from its last game (a tie with #12 Vanguard) to Prescott, Arizona on Friday, winning 4-0 over Oklahoma Christian. “The team played with good commitment today,” commented Head Coach Ron Pulvers. “Right now it’s all about developing consistency.”

Furlough Firestorm: Effects linger beyond class cancellations

Freshman Amy Young's first collegiate goal in the fifth minute got the season started off right for Cougar women's soccer, as CSUSM cruised to a 2-0 victory over Daemen College on Friday in front of the home crowd.
