“Simp” is defined as a person who is too emotionally attached to someone. Even if that particular someone does not have mutual feelings for this person. Are you under the Valentine’s Day Blues? If yes, then you may be Simping. But if not, then I presume you did what I did on Valentines Day. I treated myself this holiday. I spent time with people I cared about. A matter of fact, I was my own Valentine.
In the spirit of the Simpest holiday ever, here are “OOTD”S of a few CSUSM students to spark creativity in the wardrobe department. What I’ve been noticing throughout campus, is that people like to wear the color black. Black is the new black. However, I’ve noticed a slight twist with the trend. A pop of pastel colors compliments the black and although a juxtaposition, it has unity and variety in an outfit. Denim jackets are a staple piece. To wear it right, the type of jacket must have a particular wash to be paired with all black. It must be pastel blue denim to make it work.
A student follows the trend and pairs denim jacket, with a black crop top, disco pants, and combats boots (bottom left). She finishes the look with a chunky all-black scarf. Another student (bottom right), pairs a pastel pink sweater with an artist’s graphic design with opaque black tights and black pointed flats following the trend.
