As the lacrosse season comes to an end, the Cougars are sitting confident in the ability of the program to progress throughout its future.
Having established a competitive team in only three years of official competition, the CSUSM men’s lacrosse team could be bringing home a championship in the near future.
The Cougars own a 7-7 record, which includes a couple of close games that did not fall in their favor.
Freshman, Austin Jenkin, is the team’s leading scorer at 75 points for the season, and the seasoned vet, Dylan Perry, follows close behind with 65.
“We have made big noise and surprised a lot of people, not only in our conference, but around the country as well. We are going to be one of the top competitors in the years to come, and I would like to see this program continue to grow and win championships,” defender, Jesus Rojas said.
With key players returning next year, the Cougars are in a prime position to improve upon their season drastically.
