Coming to CSUSM, there was definitely a noticeable difference in the diversity of this campus and the one I had come from. I decided to be a part of Black Student Union because they were all incredibly welcoming, and really wanted to help me learn more about my culture.

Participating in the BSU meetings has been a wonderful experience for me. We have discussions that are very informative and interesting to be a part of. One of the things that I admire most about the Black Student Union is that they encourage anyone of any ethnicity to attend the meetings. We emphasize that diversity is a wonderful thing to have on our campus and that every ethnic group should embrace, and share, their culture and heritage.

Diversity is a crucial aspect of any campus because it gives students of all different backgrounds a deeper way to learn and appreciate the heritage of their fellow classmates.
