Restaurant review: Restaurant remedy
September 29, 2015
In San Marcos we don’t have much to do unless we drive 20 minutes to the coast. Instead of doing that for one day, drive less than 10 minutes and fill your tummies with some fantastic food.
According to iMaps, Sublime Ale House is approximately seven minutes away from campus while driving, which makes it convenient for those that live near campus and also convenient for those who want to miss the traffic before their drive home.
Sublime Ale House is located off of San Marcos Blvd. This restaurant is part of Old California Restaurant Row and is a great place to bring friends, visit parents or have a date because of the relaxed environment and the variety of foods on the menu.
They specialize in mac ’n cheese and grilled cheese sandwiches, so for those who have a frequent desire to put cheese on every meal, this is the place for you. Also, on Tuesdays, they have Taco Tuesday starting at 4 p.m.
For those who don’t eat meat, Sublime offers a wide variety of salads and soups that are extremely flavorful. For those who are 21 and over, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday through Friday they have happy hour. On specific Wednesdays they have tap take overs featuring different breweries with 50 craft beers and eight wines on tap. If craft beers aren’t your regular thing, they can recommend other options that would be good for you based on your personal preference.
Also, if you’re looking into bringing a date here, it is right by a movie theater; dinner and a movie anyone? It is an all time classic way to make your date feel special and satisfied.
Overall, the food is great for anyone you bring because they have a lot to offer. So, next time you’re looking for a hearty, fill me-up, great meal, consider Sublime Ale House.
