People all over social media have definitely seen pictures of the popular acai aowl.

They’re known to be good nutritional snacks with potassium, protein, vitamin A & C and are low in calories.

Better Buzz Coffee, located on San Marcos Blvd., sells the healthy snack. However, the frequent purchase of acai bowls can get a little pricey for college students on a budget.

Here’s an easy recipe that anyone can make in their very own kitchen in 10 minutes or less.

Acai Bowl
1 cup of almond milk
1 bag of acai puree (use Sambazon brand for more flavor)
1 frozen banana
1 cup of berries (blueberries or raspberries)
Flax seeds (for extra nutrition)

First, place all of the ingredients into a blender and blend the mixture until it is a smoothie-like consistency. Once it is done blending, place the mixture into a bowl and add diced bananas, strawberries, blueberries, granola and shredded coconut.

Now it is time to dive into your bowl. Enjoy!
