The Magical World of Harry Potter made its public debut at Universal Studios Hollywood on April 7 and fans can now experience Harry Potter through fun roller coasters, delicious food and exclusive Harry Potter items.

A fun ride sure to be a favorite amongst visitors is the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. Visitors have the opportunity to explore the hallways of Hogwarts, fly above the castle with Harry Potter himself and take in the scenery of Hogwarts.

After riding with Harry Potter, learn to fly a Hippogriff in the Flight of the Hippogriff ride. This roller coaster allows guests to experience another form of flying.

Something any visitor can enjoy is having their own wand. Guests can purchase a wand from Ollivanders, where they can either choose a wand from select characters or their very own Ollivanders wand, which makes for a great souvenir.

One of my favorite parts about the theme park was having the opportunity to try Butterbeer, something any Harry Potter fan would know about from the books and films. This refreshing drink did not disappoint. The drink looks as if it came right out of the Harry Potter movies. The drink was not too sugary, but had just the right amount to have add a touch of sweetness. You can purchase this delicious drink with a souvenir cup as well.

A great location that offers delicious food is the Three Broomsticks, where you can choose from fish and chips, shepherd’s pie and turkey legs. For dessert, Honeydukes offers yummy sweets from the movie, including Chocolate Frogs and Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans. The Chocolate Frogs even have their own trading cards with famous witches and wizards on them.

Even if you are not a fan of the series, there is a lot to experience and see at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Be sure to visit the amusement park and not miss out on any of the excitement!
