Cougars kick off their homecoming game

Students and faculty showed their “Cougar Pride” wearing traditional blue tees, hats and wristbands. Several student organizations did a tremendous amount of fundraising during homecoming week with events like CougarFest during U-hour which gave out free food, donation contest and performances by the Cougar cheer and dance teams. Following Cougarfest students, faculty and friends came out in droves to celebrate this year’s 2017 homecoming with a sold out men’s and women’s basketball game versus UCSD. Although the Cougars fell 78-66 against UCSD, more than 1,000 attended the event in The Sports Center according to the Athletics department.

The Cougars next game is on Saturday, Dec. 19 against Cal Poly Pomona at 7:30 p.m. at the Kellogg Arena.
