The perfect DIY to kiss procrastination goodbye
February 7, 2018
Spring semester of 2018 has finally come, and students are getting back into the swing of things as classes begin.
It seems that at the beginning of every semester, we tell ourselves that things will be different when it comes to studying, assignments and projects. Our hope is that we will turn over a new leaf and keep track of our responsibilities to beat the dreaded beast that is procrastination.
Most go out and buy a planner, along with other new school supplies to signify their new beginnings. But let’s be honest here; five weeks into the semester and we’ve completely ditched the planner and put off our assignments to the last minute. This happens too often because we forget when they’re due, or, on the “rare” occasion, when we put it off out of sheer laziness, but let’s not talk about that.
If this scenario is all too real for you, here’s a great DIY solution to ensure that you can keep up to date with all of your many assignments. It’s pretty simple; get on a computer that has Microsoft Excel and pull the software up. Then, create three columns dedicated to the due date, class and assignment. After creating the columns, grab all of your syllabi for your courses and enter in your information by due date; I made one for myself, and even broke it up by month.
This quick DIY is a great thing to do at the start of this spring semester to help keep you organized and on track. The simplicity of this planner allows you to keep all of your assignments on one piece of paper, that way you always know what’s coming up, and will never miss an assignment.
