Artist Statement: “My name is Gareth Kostolefsky. I’m a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and current student majoring in visual arts and technology. Outside of the classroom, I’m an acrylic painter and pursuing a career as an art- ist. This is my most recent acrylic painting titled ‘Virus.’ The dimensions of the piece are 4 x 3 ft and rendered on wood. Symbolically, this work represents growing through adversity and fi nd- ing beauty in the struggle.”
