The Student Arts Association is sponsoring an upcoming Arts Association Gallery Showcase held on campus. Opening day of the show is Thursday, Feb. 24 during U-Hour, located on the first floor Art Foyer, next to ARTS 111, and runs until Thursday, March 3. The showcase plans to present artwork from assorted mediums and various participants. Visitors have the pleasure of viewing a wide variety of work. Guests should expect to see drawings, paintings, photography, jewelry, sculptures and even animations. The Student Arts Association will have food and music available to visitors, including entertainment from the CSUSM Improv Team.
The Arts Association is a fairly new student organization on campus, so be sure to keep a look out for more student sponsored art shows hoped to be scheduled in the near future.
Participation – Those who were sent a notification email on submitting their work to the show should bring in their work to ARTS 111 on Feb. 21 (12:45 – 1:45 p.m.), Feb. 22 (at U-Hour: noon – 1 p.m.) and Feb. 23 (at U-Hour). [The deadline to email in submissions already passed].
Contact – For more information on the event, contact the officers of the Arts Association: Lauren Reynoso (President), Morgan Hefley (Treasurer), Andrew Lenzini (VP Public Relations), Lauren Wright (Secretary) and Marilyn Huerta (Advisor) at csusm.edu/vpa/art-assoc/.
