Working at The Cougar Chronicle is a great opportunity to get involved on campus while accomplishing the following things:

1. Making new friends
2. Earning volunteer hours
3. Earning internship credit
4. Gaining great resume experience
5. Having fun
6. Learning new skills such as interviewing, reporting, sales, marketing, photography, videography, etc.
7. Leading a team and/or teaching workshops to coworkers in skills that you may be an expert in
8. Networking with students, faculty, staff, and community members
9. Working in a team setting with people who love and respect you!

You DO NOT have to have previous journalism or writing experience to work at The CC, although they are definitely welcomed! The Cougar Chronicle will be training all new members in the skills that they need to work at a newspaper, and we work with your schedule to make sure you are getting as much out of this experience as possible!
