Taylor Swift’s concert in San Diego drew 45,000 screaming fans and filled every seat of Petco Park. As soon as the lights went dark and the loud volume of music exploded from the speakers, the global superstar that is Taylor Swift graced the stage, ready to show why she has become one of the most famous women in the world.
Having already traveled to 75 other cities on her 1989 World Tour, Swift still looked as excited as she must have when the tour kicked off.  Throughout the show, Swift took moments to revel in the present and wave at audience members with a big smile. She was clearly humbled by the outpouring of love from the audience.

As she sang songs from the top-selling album of 2014, “1989”, including “Blank Space,” “Shake it Off” and “Style,” not one song was performed without the chorus of every fan in the audience singing along. Special additions were her remixes of previous hit songs, such as a sensual, passionate version of “I Knew You Were Trouble” and a rock-inspired version of “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” Alternating from dance routines to just singing with a guitar in hand, Swift proved that she is capable of creating a show that appeals to everyone.

Already known for bringing special guests to her shows, fans were ecstatic when Omi (singer of radio-friendly tune, “Cheerleader”) and Avril Lavigne took to the stage to sing one of their hit songs alongside Swift.

The one thing that media consistently seemed to question is Swift’s genuine nature. Is she really as nice as people say? Does she really care that much about everyone and is she someone that every girl should admire?
After watching her show, I couldn’t help but feel that Swift was exactly the kind of girl that should be admired. Throughout the show, she was as graceful and unpretentious as she is believed to be. She consistently reminded the crowd to be who they are and ignore the haters.

She shared her experiences of feeling insecure with herself and her art, and confided that her greatest source of strength was the support she received from her fans.  She greets every fan with enthusiasm and affection.

She never let one fan wave without waving back.

During the show, Swift said she felt honored that 45,000 people would want to spend their Saturday nights with her.

Surprising considering she is sitting on top of the world with her success.

Despite feeling under the weather, she still performed with as much passion and dedication as she could

As the performance ended, Swift prepared to exit the stage. With a look of pride on her face, she looked out at the 45,000 screaming fans.  Clearly, Swift is a woman who has it all
