Scholarship opportunity for Latin@ students

‘Show Me The Money’ aims to educate students on financial assistance

A seminar on scholarship opportunities for Latin@ students at CSUSM will highlight the various scholarship opportunities for Latin@ students. It will also explain the criteria of for receiving awards, some of which is based on factors related to students’ ethnic backgrounds.

The event will take place at 12 p.m. on Oct. 8 in the Latin@ Center (USU 3300). Not only will the event serve to expose students to scholarships they may not have been aware were available to them, but guest lecturers will be in attendance to answer students’ questions about applying for scholarships.

The event is part of Raza Legacy Month, a month dedicated to the empowerment of the Latino and Latina community. Raza Legacy Month lasts from Sept. 15 – Oct. 15. During this time, events geared toward education and the Latin@ community are held.
The Latin@ Center, which opened to CSUSM students and faculty earlier this month, is committed to providing a safe space for all students. The Latin@ Center offers a variety of resources and opportunities for CSUSM students.
