Though we’re a little too old to go door to door for Laffy Taffys and Jolly Ranchers, we can still attend San Diego’s biggest Halloween party, Monster Bash, clad with all the bizarre and sexy costumes imaginable.

Enter at your own risk, because The Gates of Hell Entrance summons East Village neighborhoods to transform over eight city blocks into a Halloween block party.

The bash calls you to join in the festivities as five of the craziest stages and sick arenas will test your spirit and soul upon entering these freighting realms.

Closing off streets at 6th avenue between Market and J Street, Monster Bash is a great way to spend your Halloween evening from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sponsored by Dos XX and Sailor Jerry, the event will offer free drinks for VIPs and free food from participating restaurants and bars including Coyote Ugly, Double Duce, Allude and Altitude Sky Lounge, just to name a few.

Enjoy an amazing night to remember with DJs including the Stafford Brothers, Felix Cartel, Alvin Risk, Fawks and more. You and your friends can choose what type of music and ambiance you want for your Halloween night from the five unique party areas.

After entering the Gates of Hell, allow your inhibitions to take over and your soul to be free as you party with folks in the Devil’s Playground, release your mind with the Freak Show, dance in the Dollhouse with your creepiest childhood fears and venture into all things undead with a purchase of a VIP Zombie Apocalypse ticket.

This Halloween extravaganza features over 22 top DJs from San Diego and across the globe in all five areas, so there won’t be a dull moment. This is the one night of the year where you can take on a new persona, so start planning your amazing costumes now. Not only will this be beyond fun, but you could also win a grand prize of $5,000 in cash in their costume contest.

General admission tickets are only $40 through Oct. 17, $50 through Oct. 30 and $60 at the door on Halloween night. With a Monster Bash wristband, partygoers will get a slew of awesome adventures, including free covers at over 20 different participating restaurants and bars in the Gaslamp Quarter and East Village.

Guests can purchase a VIP ticket, which includes VIP entrance, VIP restroom access, a separate lounge area, four complimentary drinks and their own VIP lounge bar. VIP tickets are just $80 through Oct.17, $90 through Oct. 30 and $100 at the door on Halloween night. You must be at least 21 years old and present valid photo ID to enter.
