On display this fall season are a variety of trendy shoes which dominate the fashion runways and stores.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, shoes, and more often than not, boots, are in for fall 2015.

Stores carrying a few of the new trendy shoes include three top department chains: Nordstrom/Nordstrom Rack, Bloomingdales and DSW. The small mall boutiques include Forever 21, Charlotte Russe and H&M.

The 70s bring back the idea of trendsetting footwear styles with inspired prime textures and color play featured in boots and booties.

As the air chills, there will be a need for warmth, and wearing fur shoes can be both stylish and cozy. Fur is seen on boots of all types and sizes, sling back stiletto pumps and ironically on outdoor slippers.

Color contrast shoes can be worn with different combinations of warm shades, like black and maroon, for example. Another popular trend are gold or silver metallic shoes, with a come back that makes them shinier than ever. These tones and materials can be worn with stiletto pumps, flats and boots.

Over-the-knee and thigh high boots return in suede and leather of any hue, with a mixture of prints and different colors.

Women on the runway this season are wearing men’s fashion-inspired footwear. These generally include old-time favorites like loafers and Oxford shoes. However, the classic Mary-Janes are regaining popularity this fall in an array of shapes and colors.

Fashion can be both inspiring and fun. Wearing unique styles of clothing, accessories and shoes provides people freedom of expression, and this fall season, shoes are demonstrating the artistry of fashion.
