Marvel teased the return of the 1970s character Red Wolf into the main universe in a poster advertising the latest event, “All-New, All-Different Marvel.”

Following the recent “Secret Wars,” many characters from various universes scattered and relocated. This incarnation of William Talltrees (a.k.a Red Wolf), created by writers Roy Thomas and John Buscema, was part of the “1872” limited four-issue series where he must figure out what is going on in the town of Timely alongside the southwestern versions of Steve Rogers and Tony Stark.

Surprisingly, readers will not necessarily need to find out what happened in the wild western “1872” to understand what will be in store for the American Indian hero, according to writer Nathan Edmondson when interviewed by Marvel.

The “Black Widow” writer will team up with “Master of Kung Fu” and “Dexter” interior artist Dalibor Talajic to bring new modern adventures for Red Wolf. Both have experience working with unique characters having to fend for their own and discovering their paths.

Even though this will be the first time the duo will work together, Dalibor also told Marvel that Edmondson gives him very detailed scenes that help him bring the words into life.

Fans can only imagine what is in store for the Cheyenne American Indian for now. The first issue of “Red Wolf” will hit shelves and digital stores on Dec. 2. Interested readers can visit their local comic vendors or marvel.com to find out more.
