The best looks from 56th annual Grammys

Stars deliver knockout looks

If I’m being brutally honest, with every award season, the fashion normally takes precedent over the actual award shows.

While it’s entertaining to see favored performers honored for their art, many people can’t help but find more enjoyment with seeing what is worn rather than who wins what award.

The fashion of the Grammy Awards on Feb. 15 didn’t disappoint. From bold color statements to classic chic, stars dominated the fashion game of the red carpet. While there were a myriad of different styles, there were a select few that deserve noteworthy recognition.

Taylor Swift, Designer: Versace

Pairing bright colors together made an unusual, yet perfect pair. What was surprising about this outfit was the daring statement Swift made, attempting to shed her Good Girl image to one that proclaimed that she is in fact a force to be reckoned with.

Carrie Underwood, Designer: Nicolas Jebran

Underwood’s black gown was classy, chic and elegant. With a high leg slit to keep it sensual, she showed that even moms deserve to be confident, dress glamorous and have a night out on the town.

Selena Gomez, Designer: Calvin Klein Collection

This dress was by far my favorite look of the night. With its sapphire shimmer and youthful elegance, Gomez commanded the red carpet and, quite frankly, we couldn’t stop staring.

Adele, Designer: Givenchy

What I love about this dress is its simplicity. At first glance, many can view it as just a black dress. Looking at it more closely, you can see how many intricate details are included. With detail along the chest and cutout sleeves, the simple dress was clearly crafted beautifully.

Bella Hadid, Designer: Alexandre Vauthier

If there were an award for Bombshell, this look would clearly dominate. Enhancing the infamous little black dress, the embroidered silk, the low neckline and waist cutouts made statements without being too much.
