A celebration of American Indian culture

Annelisa Zamora and Meghan Knight

By performing special pieces by Indigenous artists, sharing their culture through traditional bird songs, song from the southern drums and traditional games, the American Indian Student Alliance (AISA) presented their second annual Tukwut gathering on Nov. 19.

The lineup of entertainment included performances by PJ Vegas, Artson, MC Redcloud and Crystal Lightening.

The event was hosted to celebrate a “gathering of local southern California tribes and other tribes of the southwest region,” according to AISA’s instagram page.

AISA holds meetings every Tuesday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. in SBSB 1118 and students can find them on instagram @csusm_aisa
