Within 24 hours the CSUSM community and partners raised $448,955 and received more than 1,400 gifts in their third annual Giving Day.  

 

CSUSM Giving Day was held on Nov. 27 from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m which coincides with the global Giving Tuesday. The purpose of this day is for the community to come together to support the campus and its program.

Alumni donations tripled from last year. Some donations to programs included the Athletics department, ACE Scholars and the library.

 

Athletics managed to raise $67,395.69. With the donations they plan to enhance their facilities and increase scholarships for student-athletes.

 

ACE Scholars raised $13,265. ACE Scholars focuses on helping foster youth through college.

 

In 2017, the library raised more than $6,000. This year, they raised $6,310 which will be used for textbook affordability programs and updated study spaces.
