After almost four years of no group activities, BTS has made their comeback.
Their long-awaited return has resulted in sold-out tour dates, including four dates at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, sold-out physical media and light sticks, and has left their fanbase excited for what’s to come.
BTS is comprised of seven members: RM, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook. They debuted on June 13, 2013, with the album “2 Cool 4 Skool” and the title track “No More Dream”. They are based in South Korea and gained popularity in the west in the late 2010’s, especially with their trilogy albums “Love Yourself: Her,” “Love Yourself: Tear,” and “Love Yourself: Answer.”
Their four-year absence as a group was a result of the law in South Korea that requires men to serve two years in the military. Their fanbase, ARMYs, had anticipated the moment since Jin, the oldest member, began to reach his mid-twenties. Some government officials had argued to try to exempt the members from their required military service, since they brought about 5 million dollars to the South Korean economy yearly, but the BTS members decided to fulfill their duties despite arguments. The first to announce his enlistment was Jin, who began his service in December 2022. The same year BTS dropped their last album “Proof.”
Despite the mandatory service being 18 months, the inactivity period for the group stretched out until just recently, since the members began their military service at various times. The very last to begin was Suga, who began in September 2023 because of a shoulder injury. All the members had finished their military service in June 2025 or before that, but had remained inactive as a group. Many members focused on solo projects such as Jin’s album “Echo,” RM’s album “Right Place,” “Wrong Person,” and Jimin’s album “Muse.”
On January 4, 2026, BIGHIT Arirang.”
Tickets were available for pre-sale on January 22, 2026, with many dates practically sold out before the general sale happened on January 24, 2026. Albums were placed for pre-order on Weverse and sold out as well. Additionally, BTS announced a new ARMY Bomb, which is a light stick that fans wave around during their concerts.

The track list was released on Instagram on March 3, 2026, showing 14 tracks, some of which are expected to be solo songs. Some artists involved in this album are Kevin Parker of Tame Impala, JPEGMAFIA, Teezo Touchdown, Mike WiLL Made-It, Diplo, and other artists.
For the promotion of the album “Arirang”, the question “What Is Your Love Song?” was constantly shared and included in events where walls full of roses were given out. Once empty, the walls revealed the phrase. These rose walls were in South Korea, London, and Los Angeles.
Along with the release of their album, the group will have a livestream on Netflix on March 21 2026. A week after the livestream, a documentary will also be released on Netflix about the band.
An important detail to remember is that the dates described are in KST, so for fans in the Pacific Standard Time, the album will be released at 9 P.M. on March 19, and the livestream event on Netflix will happen at 4 A.M. on March 21. Another event happening locally is a listening party at Track City Records in Escondido, on March 20 at 6 P.M. Where you can listen to BTS’ new album with other fans and get BTS themed goods. Along with that, there will be showings of their concerts in Goyang and showings of their concerts in Tokyo in theaters around the world, including Regal Carlsbad, Regal Edwards San Marcos, Regal Escondido, and Regal Edwards Mira Mesa.
Now that you know what to expect for the return of BTS, get your light sticks out, wear your 2013 debut outfits with an insane amount of eyeliner, and get ready for one of the most awaited comebacks in K-Pop history!
