“Hugo”

Martin Scorsese’s latest film is about a boy named Hugo (Asa Butterfield) who lives in a train station in 1930s Paris. After his father’s death, Hugo takes up his task in repairing a mysterious bro- ken automaton. “Hugo” is a widely praised film by critics and film lovers. It won six of the 11 Academy Awards it was nominated for.

“Top Gear – Britain”

The seventeenth season of Top Gear is out on DVD today. The British series centers on motor vehicles and presents its content in interesting, quirky and fun ways that attract more than just car lovers. The Top Gear series was revamped in 2002 and is currently hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.

The Cranberries

Released yesterday is “Roses,” the newest album from Irish band The Cranberries. “Roses” is the band’s sixth studio album following a hiatus of six years (their last album “Wake Up and Smell The Coffee” was released back in 2001). If you are a nineties kid, you may recognize some of their earlier hits including “Linger,” “Dreams” and “Zombie.”

Pink Floyd

“The Wall” is widely seen as one of the greatest (if not the greatest) Pink Floyd album. First released on November 30, 1979, “The Wall” went on to become one of the bestselling albums in the United States and became a certified 23x platinum album. The Immersion Box set of “The Wall” is digitally remastered, with unreleased material, artwork, photographs and many other keepsakes.
