LETTER: People made this senior’s college experience shine

By Antonio Jimenez

I had a great college experience because of the wonderful people I met along the way. I have never met a more amazing group of people that I am grateful to call my friends.

Getting involved with a club has also changed my life. It had its challenges, but being involved in the Catholic Club was the best experience I could have ever imagined, I would not have traded it for the world. I feel so blessed to have served on a leadership position in the club as well. The people there will always have a special place in my heart.

The wonderful memories we have shared together will never be forgotten. One such memory I will never forget was last summer when two friends and I went on a road trip up the California coast. The first night we spent in El Capitan. In the middle of the night we decided to take long exposure shots at the beach. On our way back to our campsite we kept on running into skunks. What normally took 5 minutes ended up into a one-hour heart pumping, adrenaline filled adventure. We would walk around a corner and spot a skunk on its front legs ready to spray. We would run back and find a new way and again we would spot another skunk.

This experience and the countless other experiences that I’ve had during my years at Cal State San Marcos have been legen…wait for it…dary!
