I’m with her
October 24, 2016
People have their own opinions about Hillary Clinton and the mistake she made with her email server. However, I hope people can look past the mistake and see her the way I view her: An intelligent, independent and strong woman who will work hard as our next president of the United States.
I am voting for Hillary Clinton this election. She believes in equality for all and plans to help this world’s future against climate change, to bring police and the black community together, to create a debt-free college plan and to work on gun violence prevention.
My biggest concern with our world is global warming. I cannot vote for a candidate that does not believe in this oncoming disaster. According to Clinton’s campaign website, Clinton plans to work with cities, states and rural areas “to cut carbon pollution and expand clean energy.” This is important for future generations because our planet might not survive due to global warming.
Today racial tensions are at their peak and Hillary Clinton wants to improve the issue of racism within our country by bringing the community together. Racial tension frustrates me because I have a lot of diverse friends at CSUSM. Clinton has a plan to help the divided community.
Clinton has a plan to make college debt free for those receiving an undergraduate education. I hope this will happen, so students such as my boyfriend don’t have to stress about paying for higher education.
My vote is for Clinton, who addresses the issue of mass shootings which seem to be the norm in America.
Hillary Clinton has a plan for gun control. She does not want to take away people’s right to bear arms, she wants to establish common-sense gun control laws.
I am sick and tired of turning on the news to see another headline of a shooting somewhere in this country. I am afraid when I am sitting in my classroom at CSUSM, thinking of what to do if a possible shooter were to enter my classroom.
Lastly, I am voting for Hillary Clinton because she believes in equality for all. She cares about equal rights in this country for all human beings. This is important to me because I believe we are all equal no matter who we are and where we come from.
These are a few of the reasons that I am proud to cast my vote on Nov. 8, for Hillary Rodham Clinton as our next president of the United States.
