Local restaurant, Fish House Vera Cruz, offers a treat from the sea

Fish Vera Cruz here in San Marcos is a great opportunity to get a taste of fine, fresh seafood, and since they are now offering takeout options, you can enjoy it from the comfort of your own home.

With everyone staying inside, you may have been dabbling in some home cooking or takeout or maybe a combination of the two.
If you are tired of your usual takeout orders, here is a new suggestion for you: Fish House Vera Cruz located in San Marcos. The dining options are good if you like seafood, consisting of smoked albacore, smoked salmon and prawns. There are also pasta options as well with the seafood incorporated in it. The type of fish does depend on what is available to the restaurant, as it is fresh.
Something interesting that you can order at this restaurant is a seafood cocktail with many options, one of them being jumbo shrimp, perfect for sharing with others (safely, of course).
The nice thing about Fish House Vera Cruz is the way that you can also order for takeout. This gives you the chance to get a very brief glance of the restaurant itself, something that is also noteworthy.
The theme inside of the restaurant is very rustic, which takes you back to a whimsical nautical type setting. Even though you are not allowed inside due to COVID restrictions, looking inside may make your dining experience more fun and relaxing. Once the restaurant opens again (whenever that will be) be sure to go inside and look at the fish tanks they have inside.
You are also allowed to do a takeout order and enjoy the food in the comfort of your own home if it makes you feel more comfortable.
Fish House Vera Cruz also has a conference room/rehearsal dinner space to host events, something to keep in mind if you end up liking the food and want to go back again, obviously once the pandemic is over. This is something that is unique from many other restaurants.
This restaurant is a great place to enjoy many different types of seafood or to try it if you haven’t had it before. However, it is important to mention that this is a bit more on the expensive side, so it may be something to order on special occasions.
