THE PRIDE PLAYLIST: TAKING THE NEXT STEP ON THE TREADMILL

As much as we dread it, the “Freshman 15” happens to all of us at some point in our college lives. With a new school semester comes along the time for a new workout regimen. Here are some songs to go the extra mile—literally!

“How Do You Like Me Now” by The Heavy was the anthem song in the Oscar winning movie, “The Fighter.” This 80s rock and roll vibe will inspire, as well as pump up, your much needed adrenaline.

“Cherry Bomb” by the all girl band, The Runaways, is perfect for punk rock fans. This is a good song to get in the zone because when you think of giving up, Joan Jett and Sandy West will keep you going.

For the gym-goers who enjoy some hip-hop instead of rock music, while breaking a sweat, David Guetta’s new song, “Little Bad Girl” featuring Taio Cruz is the perfect song to get up and move around.

Lupe Fiasco’s “Till I Get There” from his album, “Lasers,” is an encouraging song. The title says it all. Setting goals is fundamental for working out; this song inspires you to accomplish those objectives.

“Violet Hill” by Coldplay is a fantastic cool down song after any type of workout. The beat is good for cardio or stretching.
