On April 12, Harold “Hal” Jaffe read from three of his books for the Community and World Literary Series. Introduced at the event by Mark Wallace, Jaffe is the author of 19 books of fiction and docu-fiction, which he describes as a combination of factual reporting and fiction, which uncovers the crucial, human realities.

PRIDE CENTER RAISES AWARENESS WITH ‘GAYPRIL’

The Pride Center is hosting various events for “Gaypril,” dedicating the entire month of April to celebrating and supporting the LGBTQA community. Various events will take place either in the Pride Center or elsewhere on campus to provide awareness of ways to support the LGBTQA community and information on becoming an ally.

RAPE AGRESSION DEFENSE COURSES TO BE HELD IN APRIL

This April, CSUSM will hold a Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) course for women. The course will provide female students with different techniques for self-defense while continuing to spread and inform awareness for matters involving sexual assault and violence.

A memorial service for CSUSM student Madison Howe was held at the McMahon house on April 1, just one week after his passing. Prior to the service, Madison’s parents greeted guests, consisting of friends, family, students and faculty, among other relations.
